Each of the 4 key characters in the film represents a different aspect and dynamics of living this trauma. Injustice, most often, appears in our lives as irresistible external circumstances - they challenge us, which will either immediately break us or force us to change. But the consequences of these changes and the vector of their development always lie with the responsibility of the person himself.

Sarah Connor from the first part was an ordinary, gentle, slightly insecure woman who dragged on a more than ordinary, even banal, existence. But, suddenly, the irresistible force of life and historical circumstances bursts into her life. She learns that she is the target of a ruthless killing machine that will not stop until it destroys her.

Further, under the pressure of the circumstances imposed on her, she transforms: in order to protect herself from the machines sent to kill her, Sarah reflects the cold, ruthless features of the very machines she fights - she herself gradually turns into the Terminator. At the same time, she begins to feel a thirst for struggle, perceiving life as a mission to be won, not just lived.

The turning point is the scene with the engineer Dyson, whom she planned to destroy in cold blood. She breaks down and does not pull the trigger because of the value of human, warm feelings that she sees in his family, and this returns her to her human essence.
